COURSES AND DATES OF THE PROGRAMMES IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

OPUS GENERAL ENGLISH

Improve your English skills in speaking, listening, writing and reading, enrich your vocabulary by learning words used at your work, gain experience in customer service working half-time abroad.  

duration of the programme: 5 weeks - 9 months, students learn English 3 hours every day, in the morning or in the afternoon, and  in the same time they work. 

available in: Ireland, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand

required age: 18-30 years 

required level of English: at least lower - intermediate, good spoken English, IELTS 5.0 for New Zealand

English lessons per week: 28 lessons per week in Australia and New Zealand

dates of the start: 5 January, 23 March*, 14 April*, 22 June, 28 September (29 September in Perth), 19 October 2009

*These dates are only available for the programmes lasting 6 months in Australia and New Zealand. 


OPUS WORKING HOLIDAYS

Programme available in Australia and New Zealand, only for the owners of VISA cards (Working Holiday). Study English up to 12 or 16 weeks and work. 

duration of the programme: New Zealand - up to 12 weeks + work, Australia - up to 16 weeks + work

required age: 18-30 years

required level of English: at least lower - intermediate, good spoken English

available in: Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Auckland, Christchurch (Australia/New Zealand) 

dates of the start: every Monday. 

EARNINGS

You may work in Australia and New Zealand in the OPUS programme. Students can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during holidays. Those who have holiday visa with work permission may work as many hours as you wish.  

If you take into account the number of hours that you are allowed to work and the minimal quote you will see that the earnings cover the costs of the study. You just need to remember about the costs of accommodation and pocket money.
