International Summer School for Teenagers at National University of Ireland, Galway Code: JSS-GWY

Summer School for Teenagers is open from the end of June to the end of July. It provides for excellent language holidays for students in the age between 11 and 17. Galway is a safe place for teenagers to spend language holidays there. Summer School is located in a calm, villa district of Galway, 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Programme provides for a structured and well-planned English study supervised by qualified  (TEFL) and motivated teachers. There is also a great sports and recreational programme as well as social and cultural programme, adapted to different age groups. Whole staff of the Summer School, teachers, sport coaches, tour guides and accommodation managers are persons experienced in organizing holidays with English for younger students. Classes English courses - 15 hours per week. 09.30-13.00, from Monday to Friday There are max. 15 people in the group. Levels from beginner to advanced. All materials and handbooks provided. 4 lessons in the morning, 5 days a week (20 lessons per week) All language skills included in the practice: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis on ability to communicate effectively. English learning in a professional and considered way in a pleasant and no-stress atmosphere. Course covers Irish history. culture and society. Certificate after completion of the course. Afternoons and evenings Four afternoons of amusement per week - from Monday to Thursday 14.00-16.00 One afternoon in a week free (Friday). Sport: swimming, tennis, football, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, aerobics, badminton, uni-hoc, traditional Irish sports Social/ cultural/ recreational events: Irish music and dance, drama, music and dance  workshops, walks in Galway and a cruise on Corrib river Two evenings of night parties per week, 20.00-22.00: disco and events organized by the school (cinema, bowling, talents contest, language games) Weekend trips - one short trip every two weeks, 14.00-16.30, cruise on Corrib river; Salthill - aquarium and the beach - one whole-day trip a week, Saturday 09.00-17.30 Burren, Cliffs of Moher and Fanore beach - Aran islands - cruise to the island, renting a bike and a trip to Dun Aengus Fort  and Heritage Centre  Bunratty Castle, Folk Park and the town of Ennis 3 whole-day trips on the 4-week course and one "Amusement Saturday" in Galway 10.00-16.30, e.g. on the Arts Festival, school trip to the beach Safety Monitored 24 hours a day. Dublin Airport Meeting Service and Overnight in Dublin	Participant of the course can be picked up from the airport in Dublin by the school's representative and spend the night there with a host family, and the next day go by bus to Galway. - Prices of the bus net tickets: €28 bus ticket for 2 weeks; €42 bus ticket for 3 weeks; €52 bus ticket for 4 weeks - Busus run between 7:00 and 23:30 - Renting a bike costs €40 per week, some long-term students buy a used bike and sell it after the end of the course - students under age have to buy net tickets

INSURANCE

We recommend to buy insurance for the time of journey and staying abroad. "LEXIS" offers WARTA Travel Insurance in the case of an illness or an accident. All issues connected with insurance for the time of the journey and stay may be set at College of Foreign Languages "LEXIS".


How to become a student at Atlantic Language Schools?

All issues concerning the course, booking, arrival, journey etc. may be settled in person or by mail at College of Foreign Languages  "LEXIS" or with our Representative. When you choose the course, accommodation and other services you are asked to fill in the application form, sign the contract and pay the agreed amount in PLN on our bank account "LEXIS". The application form, one copy of the contract and confirmation of payment should be sent to us by mail or fax, so that we receive it 2 weeks before the course starts (persons from other towns contact our Representative).

Before you leave you will receive:

· confirmation of the admission to the course together with a special letter for the border authorities in Great Britain so that you do not have any problems entering Great Britain,
· ticket for your journey - if you leave from Warsaw (persons leaving from other cities in Poland contact our Representative),
ˇ confirmation of the booking of your accommodation together with the address, telephone and short characteristic of the host family,
ˇ bill for all services you paid for.
