Select English has obtained accreditation from the British Council, which means that Select English schools have been checked and approved as a credible organizer of English courses. Select English offers professional services to anybody who wishes to learn English or develop their skills further.

English course in London - for students over 16 

Location:

Accommodation (two options):

Accommodation with a family

  • single and double rooms
  • accommodation standards checked every two years
  • breakfast and dinner served every day, full boarding at the weekends

  • the person responsible for providing information on accommodation matters is present during duty hours

Accommodation in a residence

  • The residence is owned by Select English and is located next to the school
  • 7 single and 2 double rooms
  • washbasin and shower in most rooms
  • TV set and internet access in all rooms
  • guardian always present in the residence
  • breakfasts in the residence's cafeteria
  • lunch available Monday till Friday at surcharge
  • evening meals can be prepared by the students in the common kitchen

Learning and Leisure:

15 classes a week + summer leisure programme (only available in July and August)

  • This course makes it possible for the participants to improve their language skills in the mornings and go sightseeing around London in the afternoons. Students have 3 classes a day from Monday till Friday from 9 till 12:30 and extracurricular activities from Monday till Thursday from 13:30 till 17:30. Additionally full day trips are organized on Saturdays. The leisure programme also includes a weekly public transport ticket which allows the students to move freely around London.
  • A 20- and 25- classes a week programme is also available, however not accompanied by a leisure programme.

The cafeteria, located in the school garden is open for students living in the residence and from 11 till 14 from Monday till Friday also for other students. It offers hot meals, sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit and drinks every day.

Price per week: £ 184 (a 15-hour course). The price includes tuition fees only. The leisure programme's cost is not included in the price. To each course an additional administration fee of £ 50 must be added.

Course of English in Barnardiston Hall, Suffolk  (age: 8-13) 

Location: 

* near Cambridge, in a picturesque village

Many students choose to enrol on this course more than once and when they are older, they choose one of the adult courses offered by Select English. IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) - A summer course preparing for the IELTS examination!

  • IELTS is an examination for all those who wish to start studying at a British university

  • the summer IELTS course is intended for students aged 16 or more who know English at least at the intermediate level

  • the course comprises 20 classes a week and is oriented towards preparing the participants towards the IELTS examination

  • participants may take the examination during the course. The examination can be taken only on specified days. The examination fee is not included in the course price. Participants wishing to take the examination during the course should report this when enrolling on the course

English course in St. Andrew's, Cambridge

St. Andrew's in Cambridge is a partner school of Select Six, funded in 1976 as the first independent school to prepare for the A levels examinations.

St. Andrew's offers high quality GCSE, A- levels and other examinations preparation courses, which enable students from all over the world to study at universities in Britain. Students who have graduated the St. Andrew's courses study at such prestigious universities as Oxford, Manchester, London, Durham, Warwick and many others.

Students may choose from many subjects. They can rely on the long experience of the St. Andrew's experts by the choice of university courses that would suit their individual needs.

The general English courses and IELTS courses are accredited by the British Council.
