Almost Free English courses in Torbay, England

Students taking part in this course will be taught free of charge by professionals as well as by apprentice teachers preparing for obtaining a Cambridge CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults) Diploma. The apprentices are not native speakers of English language-they are teachers from different parts of the world who want to receive a diploma proving their methodical skills.

The course lasts for 2 or 4 weeks and comprises 3 hours of English a day. Every day the students will have 1 class with a professional teacher and 2 classes with apprentices. The apprentices will take turns, but they will always be supervised by a professional teacher from Cambridge University.

1. Students aged under 16 booking a four week course are able to stay a maximum 27 nights. These students would make the return transfer on Saturday rather than Sunday
2. Classroom syllabus is synchronised with the leisure programme.

Summer Schools in England

• Optional Excursions are available at all schools for an extra charge of no more than 60 £ per excursion.
• Trinity GESE exams with preparation available at a cost of no more than 60£

1. Most accommodation is in single rooms except for 4 shared rooms of 7 beds per room
2. 7-12 year olds to be accompanied by parents to and from school

Standard Transfers (specified days and times only)

• All Standard Transfers operate on the days and times stated below only and are guaranteed only if booked 21 days in advance
• Students are collected for transfer by coach, company vehicle or chartered private hire car
• A 25 £ surcharge applies for every hour or part hour staff wait to meet clients delayed over 2 hours from their scheduled arrival time

1. Gatwick, Luton and Stansted arrivals and departures are usually transferred via Heathrow which may incur additional waiting time

Special Transfers are available on request for both individuals and groups, but must be agreed in advance.

All students on our young learner programmes are covered by our free travel and medical insurance. You must check that this cover is adequate for your own needs and LAL cannot be held responsible if our cover is below your requirements: additional cover would need to be booked by the client.

Level:all levels

Remarks: Students of all levels of English language may enroll on this programme, therefore applicants will be tested before enrolling on the course. The participants must sign a note confirming that they know, that they will be taught partly by professional and partly by apprentices.

Prices: Students need to pay the registration fee of 70 GBP and the accommodation cost.
