Free English courses in Torbay, England 2008

The free course of English is a part of a course for teachers. The teachers prepare for obtaining a Cambridge CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults) Diploma. Students taking part in this course will be taught by apprentice teachers and professionals free of charge.

The course lasts for two or four weeks and comprises 3 hours of English a day. Every day the students will have 1 class with a professional teacher and 2 classes with apprentice teachers. The apprentice teachers will take turns, but they will always be supervised by a professional teacher.

Level: pre-intermediate or upper-intermediate

Remarks: Only students at the pre-intermediate or upper-intermediate level may enrol on this programme, therefore applicants will be tested before enrolling on the course. The participants must sign a note confirming that they know, that they will be taught partly by professional and partly by apprentice teachers.

Prices: Students need to pay the registration fee of 50 GBP and the accommodation cost. The accommodation prices are available on LAL Torbay's homepage. 

Course timetable: 12.45 - 14.45 - two-hour lesson with the apprentice teachers. The apprentice teachers will take turns and will be supervised by professional teachers.
15.00 - 16.00 - one-hour lesson with a professional teacher.
